• 2.6 billion people have gained access to improved drinking water sources since 1990, yet 844 million people are still struggling with water sources.

• To combat this struggle the UAE Water Aid formulated Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum Global Water Award so as to award creative solutions for tackling water scarcity across the globe.
